After all its about expressing yourself

Just as you would when you wear your favourite outfit with your favourite shoes

This is called the graffiti effect

It can be described as an odd mix of glamour with street style

In fact it is very easy to do

Items needed

Dark  nail colour
Metallic nail polish

Method

For this to be effective you need a dark base coat.
Then you can add gold or silver stripes.

Now that it is time to apply your metallic colour.

It is important to remember that you have to wipe the brush on the bottle so that there isnt much nail polish on the brush

The bristles must be seen when applying the metallic colour.
Which gives the desired look.

And don't be shy.
Different direction stripes will only make it more effective.
