Here is why self improvement is critical in your strive for success

We live in a time where so many people consider self improvement very important. Some will say it is necessary and I too agree with that. Why is it so important? Self improvement is about personal growth. Yes it isn't about the person next to you. It is personal Your growth in life. For many it is considered important as it is linked to success. That means you have to be open for change. It is very important in your for future success.

It gives you the chance to experience new opportunities.
If you start to do research on self improvement from books blogs articles you will be able to focus on improvements. Improvements that is needed for future growth. By changing your focus and being willing you focus on changes that you may be aware of or needed in your life. It helps you to be open for the changes that is needed. So you are ready for it.

This can happen for you, too.

But in order for things to change in your life, in order to get where you want to be, you have to grow into the person who is ready for that change. Personal development is vital to your success.

Improved self esteem
The first thing you will realize is that you need self confidence so that you are open to self improvement. For you to be successful you have to believe in yourself. In your abilities. You will start to grow and your mind will be focused on the dreams you want to follow.

If you consider self improvement and you really commit to it. Whether it is your work, business or even your relationship with others. It is about self growth. I will think being honest with yourself is the first thing to do. Come on. Be honest. Some things we know we have to improve on. Be honest with yourself and work on making the changes needed. One of the best ways to find out where more self improvements is needed is to ask those close to you. You can ask them to make a list of your attributes and where there is improvements needed. Then you can take each one of the things listed and focus on improving them one by one.

Personal opinion
I always say there is improvements needed. It is a fact. It can be something small or significant but it is always there. Just by thinking of this site. How much it has changed me. I am more focused on the benefits of things. More focused on being positive. But at the same time I try to help those around me to be more motivated. Everyday I work on it. Everyday I strive for being the better me. Some days everything goes well. Some days  can be described as rough. But what is important is to know that it is good to always improve and never give up.
Whatever you consider success. Self improvement will help you get it. Improvement start with the first step. Admit and be open for change. Then comes the actual work on improving. But honestly. If it does good in your life and those around you. Why not consider it? They will notice the change. But most important. You will benefit from self improvement.

Effective home remedies that works for cysts on eyelids.

If you have a cyst on your eye lid then you feel very conscious of it. It can be minimal to more severe. But with the help of a few natural home remedies it can disappear and you can get rid of it successfully.

Warm compress
One of the most effective ways to get rid of a eye lid cyst is a warm compress. It helps to drain the gland while improving blood circulation. At the same time it reduces swelling and help ease the pain.

Take a cloth that is soaked in hot water and after getting rid of excess water. Leave the cloth on your eyelid for 5 to 10 minutes. This should be repeated daily for 2 weeks.

If you softly and gently massage the affected eye lid it can improve the time needed for healing. But always remember to wash your hands with soap and water. Here also you need a warm compress. After you have left the compress on your closed eyelid. You can use your fingers by gently massaging the affected area by massaging in an upward direction

Apple cider vinegar
As apple cider vinegar is antiseptic and has anti inflammatory abilities. It works effectively against the infection while reducing pain.

Take 2 table spoons raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar. Add to a cup of hot water. Now take a cotton ball and put in the mixture. It must be left on the affected area for at least 1 minute. For another alternative you can take a tablespoon raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar with a cup of water. Drink 2 times a day for a weeks and see the results for yourself.

Castor oil
If you read the previous article on the benefits of castor oil. You may know why it is added here as a natural home remedy. It may be good as it reduces the size of the cyst very quickly. But at the same time it has very strong anti inflammatory abilities.

Start by putting a arm compress on the eye lid that is affected. Leave it for 5 minutes. Now use a cottn ball that has castor oil on it. Leave it on the affected eye lid. Do this for 2 weeks and see the results for yourself.  

Green tea tea bags
As it has high anti inflammatory abilities it is ideal to place on the affected eyelid. 
Put a green tea tea bag in warm water for 5 minutes. Now remove all excess liquid from the teabag. Leave the teabag for 5 minutes on the affected eyelid. Do this a few times every day and see the results for yourself.

If you have a cyst on your eyelid or you know someone who does. Then you know not only is iths painful but can leave people feeling rather uncomfortable. These are a few home remedies that works for it.

What you should know about water if you have a heart condition

In previous articles I posted why we need to drink more water. Water is good for health and beauty and has numerous benefits. You can read about it here

But with that said.
As good and healthy as water can be. Water isnt healthy for everyone. For those with heart complications it can be completely different. It is always best to get your doctor's insight before considering to drink more water. 

If you drink too much water it makes your heart work harder. It may cause serious health conditions. So how do you drink the amount prescribed without drinking too much water then?

It is always best to have a bottle or container to make sure you don not go over the amount prescribed. Also remember that anything that melts such as ice cream or lollies is considered as part of your daily liquid allowed. Gelatine is also added to liquids. Yes even soup is included in that daily amount of fluids. Coffee tea juice also considered part of your daily liquid allowance. 

So what do you do when you deal with thirst? It is good to consider chewing gum or candy. For diabetics sugarless is advised. It is good to have a container and drink through out the day. That will also help with the battle against thirst. 

If you know you have a heart condition it is always best to consult your doctor before making health changes. Even if it is drinking water. What is safe for one person is not considered safe for another person.

Be serious
If your goal is to reach the top. You have to make the decision to reach that goal. If your goal is to lose weight. It will mean you have to make the effort. Regardless of what ever your goals are. The basic principles will always stay the same. You will be surprised what making the commitment to reach the top can do to your life. Be serious and dont mess around with your goals. Be the best that you can be.

What is stopping you from reaching your goal?
What exactly is holding you back? Is it a skill that you don't have? An action or even a quality that you don't possess? Find the answer what is keeping you where you are. It will take honest deep thinking to find the answer. Don't be nervous to rediscover yourself.

Consider being around the right people
Now this can be a tricky one. What exactly is considered the right people? Easy. It means be around those who are inspired and passionate about their goals. By being around those who do reach their goals. It gives you the chance to rediscover your passions. At the same time it means stay away from those who are negative. They have nothing good to teach you.

Look after yourself
That means follow a good diet. Yes it also means exercise. We all know what we have to do. But honestly how many actually do it? That includes making time for enough rest too. Healthy body and clear mind can do wonders to your self esteem

Believe you are the best
You become what you believe. In your mind you have to visualize that you are the best at what you reach. It is good to remember that if you focus on reaching your goals. it also means you have to see the success in your mind too. Yes visualize it.

Be kind to yourself
This one is very critical. No one can hurt you as much as your inner dialogue. What you say and think to yourself about you really matters. So you have to start by saying I love what I do. At the same time it means you have to say that you are happy with yourself. Is that considered lying? No it is about where you want to go in your life. let us call it looking at the future and success of your goals. Start by practising and talk to yourself as you want to be talked too. If you want to reach your goals it means you have to remember it is done by design. It starts with your belief in yourself. 

Now start going for your goals
You can do many things and wait. Hope. Not do anything. But to reach your goals it means you have to do something. Yes it is called taking action. Be sensible and get moving. The closer you are to your goals the more you will be liking yourself. Which in turn will improve your self esteem. That creates a reaction of better self discipline. So before you know it you will find you are very persistent and you will achieve your goals.

In life you have to make the choice to reach your goals. It is very rare that your goals will be reached by just hoping for it. Follow these steps and you will be surprised at the changes that will come in your life. Whether it is losing weight, Or reaching the top of the ladder. Or even just improving your life as well as those you love. Whatever you perceive as success. You can follow your dreams and make it real. It all depends on you.

Do remember the Daniel diet is about no meats too.  But as you are restricted from eating meat during this time it means you must find your proteins elsewhere. So it is good to think about adding beans nuts and seeds to your diet.Which is why I suggest vegan recipe ideas for a 21 day weight loss plan. Dont stick to one certain fruit or vegetable. It is about eating different fruits and vegetables as it has so many different nutrients. 

What you can drink 
Only fluids that you can drink is water. Yes it means no coffee tea, even herbal teas. Just pure water is approved. It also means no sodas or juice. Even if it says 100 pure juice. Not surprising if you consider the benefits of water. You can read about the benefits of water here. 

Always check your labels as the idea is cleansing your body of toxins. So do take the time to read and check if there is preservatives or sugar added. This has shown to be a healthy and successful change for weight loss. As well as improving overall wellbeing. But no doubts it will take will power and commitment to staying focused.

Snowy effect nail art

If you are looking for an easy but elegant nail art idea. Why not try this? No doubt it is absolutely beautiful.  Beginner friendly and looks stunning too. I am sure you will agree with this. This is absolutely one of my favorites.

Here it was a violet colour with white over it to create a snowy effect. This shows you it doesnt have to be a complicated look. Fabulous, don't you think so too? 

As you can see it is quite easy but yet at the same time it is effective in creating a stylish appearance. What you need is a base color and then you need to apply the white dots or spots. Personally I use a nail polish that can give that effect. Its easy and looks great. With different shapes and sizes.

Water droplets nail art

If you are looking for a fun way to experiment with nail art. It is great as it is even beginner friendly. Try this method. I call it water droplets effect. As the idea is to have the appearance of water drops on your nails.

What you will need
Black matte nail polish
Silver stones

Apply your nail polish
Now stick the silver stones over your nails. You can add a small dab of glue to make sure it stay in place.
You can apply all over the nail or in a pattern it is your choice.

You don't have to stick with black nail polish. You can try it with other nail polish colors too. Why not try this and see for yourself. It does give a very elegant appearance as you can see for yourself. Have fun and experiment with new ways to apply nail polish.

Bow tie and polka dots nail art

I haven't posted any nail art in a while. So today I am sharing an easy nail art projects for beginners.  We know hands gets noticed and when you know your hands look good.

 For hands that looks beautiful and well and hydrated you can look here at safe home remedies that is effective. It does make a difference.

You wont notice it. But others surely will. So allow me to share this easy tutorial for nails.

What you will need.
Three colors nail polish. (Used here was light pink and white and last clear coat.)
Dotting tool or toothpick
Bow tie sticker accessory 

To start you can use a nude colour base coat or a very light pink colour. (Pink was used here)
Now apply polka dots as seen on the image with a tooth pick or a dotting tool. (Here white is used)
Leave the finger you want to apply the bowtie on.  
Apply the bowtie sticker. 
You can stick it with a glue gun to make sure it stay in place. 
Leave it to dry. 
Now apply a clear coat nail polish.

This is easy and looks so sweet. Bows are considered fashionable now. So why not make sure your nails can join in the fun too. This is a beginner friendly nail art project.

Onions for hair growth

Hair loss affects both men and women. So many worry and try many different ways to fight hair loss. But here is a safe way to combat hair loss while giving your hair nutrients it needs.

Onion for hair may sound strange to you. But if you think about the fact that it is antibacterial as well as containing many nutrients for your hair, you may just grab a bag of onions the next time you go to the store. This is a great home remedy that gives your hair much needed nutrients but also at the same time it combats hair loss.

If hair loss is caused by a fungal infection on your scalp. It actually promotes hair growth and is cost effective. Yes onions is the solution. It also helps to stimulate your scalp while helping your hair follicles so that new hair can grow. It is  already a well known home remedy for many. Why does onion work so well? Because your hair needs sulfur and onions just happen to be a great source of sulfur. Sulfur helps to stimulate hair follicles. Which in turn helps to promote hair growth. It even improve blood circulation. Yes many will tell you that onions is considered vital for healthy hair. So I am sharing two ways you can use onions on your hair for hair growth

Onion juice
Peel the onions. Now chop into smaller pieces. You are looking for the juice. So feel free to use a blender juicer grater or even a food processor. Apply onto your hair. Massage the juice into your scalp. Make sure the bald patches are covered with the juices. Leave it on for at least 15 minutes. If you can take the smell of the onions you can leave it on for longer. Wash out using a mild shampoo.

Onion and honey.
Take 1 tablespoon honey and mix it with quarter cup of onion juice.  You can double the recipe according to how much you need. Apply the mixture onto your scalp. Leave the mixture on for 30 minutes.  You can leave the mixture on overnight if you prefer. Just place a shower cap over your hair. Rinse off and wash the mixture out with a mild shampoo.

Both these home remedies work in combating hair loss and at the same time promoting hair growth. But do remember it will take time as it is a natural home remedy. Home remedy that promotes hair growth

If you are one of the people that worry about the health of your hair. This article is just for you. As I am sharing a natural safe home remedy that has so many nutrients for your hair. All you need is two ingredients. You probably have it already in your kitchen. It is a home made oil that should be left on for 2 to 3 hours. Coconut oil is not stranger when it comes to giving beautiful hair.


  • 2 to 3 centimeters ginger
  • 2 table spoons Coconut oil (Preferably organic) 


  • Clean the ginger and cut in small slices.  Feel free to grate it. Or you can Use a juicer to extract the juices. You don't need the pulp it is the juices you need. Squeeze out the juice in a bowl. 
  • In a separate bowl you can put 2 tablespoons coconut oil. Now use a larger bowl that has hot water and place the bowl with the coconut oil in that bowl with hot water. Please note this step is only if the coconut oil has set and needs to be in liquid form. Never use direct heat on coconut oil as it destroy many nutrients that is good for you.
  • Mix the two ingredients together It must be well combined now put it in a container or bottle of your choice.
  • Apply on hair going all over your scalp and then your hair. Massage for 5 minutes. To make sure it gets fully absorbed. As well as making sure the circulation is improved. Leave on your hair for 2 to 3 hours. Wash as you would normally and apply your preferred conditioner. You will see the difference over time.

Learn to control your anger with these steps

We all at some point deal with anger. But managing it can be a challenge. Today I am sharing advice that will help you to learn to control your anger. Yes I am included too.  Anger can be called healthy when it is managed well. But uncontrolled anger is unwise and unhealthy. Not even mentioning the health risks attached to being angry. So let's see what we can do to improve our anger management issues.

Think and then speak

 In the heat of the moment you will easily say or do things you don't mean. Yet the effect lasts even after your anger has passed

You can express your anger when you are calm
When you are calm you think more clearly and you will be able to express yourself better without hurting another one's feelings. You wont behave in a confrontational manner

Consider exercise 
Exercising helps you to reduce stress. So next time you feel the anger building inside you consider it a good time to go for a walk or go for a run. 

Time out
Very important. Not just kids needs a time out. Take a break during the day. It helps you to destress and the result is you wont get irritated as easily.

Don't blame others
When you are talking don't think of blaming others. It never works. Use the I word instead of pointing at another. 

Leave grudges behind
How many of us are guilty of this one. I bet a lot. I forgive but don't forget. No honestly. It is best to leave and forget. You can not expect others to behave as you want them too all the time. No one does that. And if you forgive someone else. You actually set yourself free and will experience more happiness.

Lighten up
If you lighten up. It will diffuse the situation and tension will be released. But a word of advice. Not a good time to be sarcastic though. 

Consider ways to solve anger
If you remind yourself that anger wont solve your problem. But will make it go from from bad to worse. You will try to find another way to deal with what is causing you to become angry. Look for solutions instead of focusing what makes you angry.

Consider ways that helps you relax
If you feel you are angry or you are about to have a temper tantrum. Consider breathing exercises. Breath deep and slow. Focus on the breathing. Or write down your feelings. Listen to soothing music or consider yoga.

These are a few suggestions that is effective in learning to control your anger. With time you cn larn to control your anger. Remember when you are angry. What ever you say or do in that moment. Will last even when you have calmed down.

Effective way to remove oil stains.

Did you ever by accident get into contact with oil. Now your beautiful outfit is ruined. Happens to me more often than I'm willing to admit.  So you think of taking it to the dry cleaners. Before you do that. Try this safe natural and very effective way to get rid of oil. 

This really works to get rid of oil stains. Tried tested and approved. All you need is to add a small amount of Dettol in the water. Put the clothing in water. Allow it to soak for a few minutes. Then rub where the stain is. It will disappear in front of your eyes. This is something I follow and can tell you it works.

Many of us trust Dettol when we want our homes clean and safe. We trust Dettol when we wipe surfaces leaving it hygienic. But now you know of another great use for Dettol.

Yes that simple. So no more struggling with oil stains. This method was discovered by accident. Discovered by my father when he was young. Trying to help my grand mother to get rid of a stubborn oil stain. So easy simple and yet still unknown to many.
