Today I want to share a recipe that can be made at home. But take note, it takes a lot of patience as it takes about 7 months before it is fermented and ready to use.
Ingredients
10 apples, organic
Filtered water
Glass bowl or bottle
Cheesecloth to cover if using bowls or bottles.
Method
Start by washing the apples, then cut it into quarters. If you prefer you can core and peel them too.
Place into a bowl or a glass bottle.
Cover with filtered water.
Now cover with the cheesecloth.
Place the bowl/bottle in the warmest and darkest place that you have available. It must be left there for 6 months. In winter it may be a challenge so it may not be easy to find a warm spot. So best to do this in the warm summer months.
After 6 months you will see a scum that is grayish on the surface of the liquid. Don't be worried about that. It is normal for it to be that way. As it is naturally fermented.
Now strain the liquid by using a coffee filter into a bowl that is larger.
Leave for another four to six weeks with the covered cheesecloth.
After this time your apple cider vinegar is ready to be used. Doesn't seem to be too difficult, just need lots of time. Do note that the first batch of vinegar has the mother of earth that is needed in many natural solutions for health issues. That is the starter for the next process of your vinegar
It is a known fact to many that apple cider vinegar can be very good for health issues. Even used in beauty routines. But apple cider vinegar that has the mother of earth ingredient. It isn't readily available. my best option was online. That made me wonder if it cant be made at home. Also the reason for this article.
